We don’t recommend uninstalling unless you’re switching gear or changing rigs. But if you must:
Grab fishing line or dental floss. Slide it under the plate while gently prying upward.

Roll off residue by hand or use adhesive remover (test first).
Never use sharp tools - unless you like gouges.
